Sunny Nagi and Andy Paul have been good friends since school and have always been inspired by entrepreneurship from a young age. Their earliest partnership was attempting to sell Indian samosas during their school days to students and teachers.
They later connected their mutual interest in business and Bhangra & Bollywood music leading them to start a small DJ business where they would play at various birthdays, engagements and wedding celebrations.
In 2020, Sunny and Andy launched the Business Over Chai podcast given their passion in entrepreneurship and South Asian heritage as a way to create space for business leaders to give back to the community.

Sunny was born and raised in Bedford, U.K. and has a strong passion for the business and investing world from a young age. Although Sunny initially went to study Physics at The University of Warwick, Sunny decided he wanted to focus on finance and decided to pursue Investment and Financial Risk Management at The Business School, University of London (formerly Cass).
He completed Investment Banking and Asset Management internships at Morgan Stanley and BlackRock, before deciding to pursue a Proprietary Trading role in London. In 2015, Sunny got married and therefore decided to get a job closer to home in Milton Keynes. Sunny joined Mazars in Transaction Services providing deal advisory to private equity & corporate clients. Sunny then transferred to the M&A team working on both Buy-side and Sell-Side Lead Advisory mandates as well as Debt Advisory transactions.
Today, Sunny is a Venture Capital Investor at Committed Capital investing and advising early & growth stage technology businesses.
Sunny’s current passions include sport (watching from the comfort of the sofa!), travelling & visiting as many Michelin star restaurants as possible!
Andy was born and raised in Bedford, U.K. and his interest in entrepreneurship started from a young age having worked in the family’s cafe business located in his town’s centre from 2002-2005.
After studying Maths at Brunel University London, he went on to begin his career in London at Aon as an Investment Bank Market Share Analyst in 2011. Andy moved to San Francisco, USA in 2015 where he is currently an Analytics Product Manager in the Human Capital function which supports thousands of startup and fortune 500 companies.
In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic led Andy to found an e-commerce business called Simple WFH supplying home office furniture to its U.K. customer base where he is responsible for all aspects marketing, logistics, finance and customer service.
Andy enjoys spending time trying different food, travelling & listening to music! He was a keen musician and played Tabla as part of The Loft live Asian music band during 2009-2012 including performing at the London 2012 Olympics torch relay in Bedford. Andy enjoys working out and playing squash in his spare time along with working on coding projects!
